Adventure Challenge - Kilimanjaro

Adventure challenge of a lifetime

Most of the 2014 Peak Potential Adventures Mt Kilimanjaro Charity Challenge team flew out last night from Sydney International Airport for their adventure challenge of a lifetime to climb to the Roof of Africa…..the majestic and beautiful Mt Kilimanjaro in support of Make-A-Wish Australia. One of our team members Naomi flew out of Brisbane airport and will be connecting with the rest of the team in Dubai later today. They were in very high spirits and were really looking forward to their adventure challenge to Mt Kilimanjaro.

Mt Kilimanjaro at a height of 5,895m and being the highest freestanding mountain in the world, their adventure challenge definitely awaits them and they will be welcomed visually by the sheer enormity of the great mountain in the next days when they see Mt Kilimanjaro for the first time from their hotel in Moshi, Tanzania. The team would have left Dubai by now and would be en route to Nairobi Airport in Kenya. Getting the team through Nairobi Airport can be an adventure in itself based on our experience from the the 2013 Mt Kilimanjaro Charity Challenge, but being a smaller team this year, hopefully they will not have any major issues with luggage or all boarding together.

At the time of the teams departure, the team had also fund raised a whopping $32,359 for Make-A-Wish Australia, which will go a long way to helping make some valuable wishes come true for the sick and ill children who need it most.

We wish all the team the best of luck, and we are sure they will all do well on their adventure challenge of a lifetime and they will all get to realise their dreams of standing on the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro over the coming week.
