This archive story was originally inspired by the remarkable idea of trekking to Everest Base Camp at 84 years of age.
Its message still fits Peak Potential Adventures today: age by itself does not define what someone can attempt. Health, preparation, realistic expectations, experience and the right support matter far more than simply looking at a number.
Everest Base Camp remains a serious high-altitude trek and every participant needs to prepare appropriately and obtain individual medical advice where relevant. But stories like this are a useful reminder that adventure can remain part of life for far longer than many people assume.
For us, the goal has never been to tell people that an adventure will be easy. It is to help people understand the challenge, prepare properly and make an informed decision about whether it is right for them.
