I recently had the privilege of joining Darren and Shane and a small group on an overnighter in the Blue Mountains. Darren and Shane's professionalism, knowledge of the mountains, their support equipment and safety protocols were second to none. Above all else they ensure that all who attend irrespective of experience are warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. If you want to switch off for a day or three and get amongst some of Australia's best nature walks give Darren and Shane a call. I'm looking forward to my next adventure !!

What an adventure we had on our Three Capes Trek in the stunning Tassie!
Darren and Shane were beyond accommodating to the bunch of crazy mum's escaping the daily grind of motherhood and breathing in the goodness of the great outdoors. From our extra-curricular activity suggestions (like to see the southern lights) and putting up with our banter about wiping kids snotty noses and nonsense along the way, the boys were fun and professional and we felt we were always in safe hands!
Highly recommend Peak Potential and any of their adventures! I know I'll be signing up for more ASAP.

We had such a fantastic trip with Peak Potential Adventures to the 3 Capes in Tasmania. From first discussions, through planning and finally getting going the communication is amazing, responsive and to the point. We had a facebook group set up for pre trip queries and discussion and for sharing photos and feedback after, also great! Shane and Darren are professional and experienced from both the hiking perspective as well as organisation of the groups transport, meals, accomodation. And top guys to be with, fun and accomodating of the needs and individual requests (photos!) The key thing is that they... read more

As always Great to Travel with you and Poff Darren, you always give your Trekkers more than their money's worth. Wouldn't mind having a swim in any of the water holes along the Larapinta Trail when you get that up and running. Thanks for a Top Time with a Great bunch of people

What an iconic weekend adventure. Crossed the famous Bowtells Swing Bridge, took in the sweeping views of the Blue Mountains from Black Range and Megalong Valley and walked through the beautiful rainforests of Alum Creek and Nellies Glen. All along the historic Six Foot Track which stretches through the heart of Blue Mountains from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. The track is roughly 45km in length and was built in the 1800s as a horse and cart route and winds through some beautiful mountain, valley and river landscapes. Thank you to the wonderful team of Peak Potential Adventures you guys are... read more

My first of hopefully many trips with this slick Crew.
Professional, fun, encouraging, knowledgeable, safe, patient, accommodating, interesting, oh and did I mention Patient and Professional?
6 Foot Track Blue Mountains walk in 2 days was amazing because of Peak Potential Adventures.
Thank you Poph, Gouldy (sp?), Pete and Darren. 😘 See you boys soon for the next little adventure.

The 6 Foot Track has been on my bucket list for a while now and I am so glad I waited for Peak Potential Adventures to fit me in. Shane, Darren, Gordy and Pete were fantastic hosts and knew the track very well and made the walk just that little bit more tolerable. A bit tough going at times but having great guides and great company by your side urging you on is always a bonus. I am now looking for my next adventure with Peak Potential Adventures. Job well done Peak Potential Adventure. Julz

We had an amazing adventure on the 6ft Track. We had trained and worked hard to get there. Yes it was a challenge but the team really helped to get us ‘across the line’. Peak Potential are true professionals and there was nothing left to chance. This is a true small group adventure, run by a team who truly care about what they do. I’d highly recommend this hike.......get yourself out there ?

Just finished the Six Foot Track. It was amazing from beginning to end. The guys at PPA are the best. Professional, knowledgeable and fun. Always checking on us and our feet and keeping us focused. Just what you need to get you through the challenges of this hike. Highly commended and recommended.
Thanks guys ?

A big thank you to the team at Peak Potential Darren, Shane, Peter and Wayne they were extremely professional, respectful and very mindful of their customers well being through out the trek. Their positive approach to all participants made for a pleasant experience. I wish you all the prosperity and success for all your future endeavours. It was suggested by a good mate that I take a look at these guys for my next adventure. Thanks Juddo, right on the mark…….. The guys at Peak Potential Adventures are brilliant, from initial organisation to the way they operate through to the support and motivation throughout the trek. You guys rock!!!! Thanks so much for the experience and hope to take another adventure with you in the future.

I was lucky enough to get the last place on the 6ft track hike in September 2019, walking this track with PPA over 2 days was a fantastic opportunity. Support crew Darren, Shane and Wayne have a wealth of experience In trekking and hiking and it makes for a fantastic experience. Yes there’s pain but the the feeling is over ridden with accomplishing the first day. I have many friends who have run this in an event but health issues have always prevented me from completing but I can say I did it, made some new acquaintances and friends and... read more

Did the six foot track with this guys (as a birthday present to myself) never been hikking before just the occasional bushwalk ,also terrified of hight ,so the bridge was another challenge for me. Would have not been able to do this without your support. Thank you so much!
Finishing the hike made me feel like anything is possible

The Adventure Experts! The whole experience was unreal! The Peak Potential Adventures crew built the excitement from the time we inquired! Loved the check-ins prior to our trek, with training guidance, footwear and clothing recommendations, and other knowledgeable trekking information to ensure we felt prepared and excited for our Trek. The 6Foot Track was the perfect 2 day challenge for a heap of couples I went with. The crew shared interesting knowledge of the track and land, tasty food and refreshments along the way and comfy cabin stay overnight. The company throughout the trek was superb. Do it, do it , do it!!! You won’t regret it. I just completed the 6ft trek at the end of June and highly recommend the adventure. The landscapes and beautiful scenery of the blue mountains is just stunning and a fabulous break from the daily grind was a bonus. The Peak Potential crew were awesome and looked after us so well....made us feel safe, kept us fed and motivated all the way to the finish!! I’m still buzzing when I think about what I achieved!!
- Talitha Kay
The team at Peak Potential Adventures are a crew of exceptionally skilled, well educated and dedicated guys that take you out of your comfort zone with ease. They provided me the opportunity to get off the grid on the 6 foot track recently and I can honestly say, it was an experience I feel proud to have achieved and couldn’t ask for a greater level of support! Greats guys doing great things, well done!!
- Kristen Alice Hobin
My girlfriend asked if I wanted to climb Kilimanjaro and how could I say no. We went through Peak Potential and everything was organised for us, such a smooth process. We had support for our fundraising for Make a Wish, we were giving advice on training and what we needed for the trek, and everything was taken care of during our travels. It was such a great group and life long memories were made.
- Tracey Jordan
Hi Shane and Darren, I noticed that you are advertising your next exciting adventure to Cradle Mountain and it reminded me of the absolutely incredible adventure that it was when we did it together. When my friend organised the trip for me, I just went along with it, not knowing what was in store. . But it turned out to be once in a lifetime experience I will never forget even though I was totally out of my comfort zone and had no idea what to expect. Not just because of the incredible landscape and scenery, not... read more

The 6ft track with these guys was amazing! I have never done ANYTHING by myself so to have a weekend in the beautiful Blue Mountains with nobody that I knew was a huge emotional challenge for me. Darren, Shane and Pete made me feel so comfortable, safe and free to really just enjoy each moment. I met some beautiful people within the group and was able to really appreciate this part of our beautiful country. Climbing Kilimanjaro had been a dream for a long time but I hadn’t found the motivation or direction I needed. I came across Shane and Darren during a fundraising event and knew they were the right fit instantly. They have an infectious energy and absolute passion for what they do. With the help of the Peak Potential team I felt fit and well prepared with the added incentive of fundraising for a very worthwhile cause along the way. The climb is challenging but I loved everything about the trip. The PP team looked after every detail and make sure we... read more

I cannot speak highly enough of the guys from Peak Potential. Poff, Darren and Mitchy you all are the most awesome, down to earth and pushiest blokes I have ever met. I have nothing but love and respect for you boys. I have had the pleasure of doing both the Jenkat and Mt. Kilimanjaro treks (2016) with Peak Potential, and being a bigger fella I did have my reservations. However Poff and Darren helped me with everything from going on a heap of smaller hikes and giving advice to build up fitness, helping me with my gear and constantly answering... read more

Six Foot track was challenging, rewarding and extraordinary all at the same time. Darren, Shane and Andrew, along with the rest of the team at Peak Potential are absolutely sensational and made the trip fun! Trekking from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves through the Blue Mountains and stunning bush land. I highly recommend the trip, so much so, I’m doin it again later this year!

What can I say, but WOW! WOW! WOW! An experience I will cherish forever. Thanks to the amazing guides, who encouraged, motivated and entertained us (thank you Mitch), and the stunning scenery, which could never be experienced any other way. Personally, this was challenging for my unfit, 50+ body, however, this trek was achievable with the support team I was surrounded by. The guys provided enjoyable food at each break, including the power snacks (lollies mmmmm) and the ‘healthy’ stuff! I felt looked after, constantly being asked about our wellbeing, feet, legs and of course water! There were many... read more

This is a challenging weekend walk, and having it fully supported by Peak Potential took away any worries or concerns I might have had and allowed me to focus on one thing - just the walk! It's a great weekend getaway whether you are hiking solo or with friends. It's well organised and everything you need is taken care of, and if you do happen to be solo you will likely meet some fantastic like-minded people! The Blue Mountains has such gorgeous scenery - I really enjoyed this walk from start to finish.

I did the Six Foot Track trek in 2015 believing that "each of us has our own mountains to climb.' Personally the Six Foot Track trek enabled me to say that age is a number and with a healthy body and mind you can achieve what you want to do if you just get out there and do it. Darren and Shane with their expertise and planning ensured that I challenged myself, got out of my training comfort zone and overcame my fear of all things wobbly and high -suspension bridge :). I joined Peak Potential on their Beautiful 6ft Trek in the Blue Mountains last year. Not only is it right on our door step, stunning and at times a good challenging trek, we had such fun over the weekend. Plus the eco lodge was a Devine resting place for some yummy eats and sips too! Peak Potential make you feel supported, safe and are great blokes living the dream of sharing their passion of adventuring. I’m a trekker and I’m definitely booking in with Darren and Shane again next season as I have have some Mountains and Landscapes calling me in:)

I did the six foot trek with these guys in Nov a couple of years ago. WOW !! What an amazing experience. So to start with the communication leading up to the weekend was great providing us with all the info we needed to be prepared. I was quietly nervous about what I was about to do but after meeting the guys on the first day I felt myself relax, everything was fully organised for us, we were provided with some snacks and off we went with just our daypack. I have done a couple of adventures now with Peak Potential Adventures. I initially did the weekend Blue Mountains Six Foot Track trek with them in 2016 and totally loved the experience and service so much that I decided to up the ante and do Mt Kilimanjaro with them at the end of 2016 and I was not disappointed. From start to finish their service was professional, and their outdoors experience and knowledge shone through in preparing the team and then leading the climb and the team to the summit. To most people living life involves waking up and not really fully understanding how lucky we are within our everyday lives. Not a lot of people would not be very impressed with the world if they couldn’t have a seemingly endless supply of power for their tv, coffee machine, microwave etc. Most people would go through their everyday jobs and every now and then complain about how they are treated the poorness of their pay and working conditions. I myself was guilty of all of those things in my past. I thought I had changed in 2005 when... read more

As an enthusiastic bush walker, I found myself wanting to take on a weekend adventure. Peak Potential Adventures offered exactly what i was after with the JenKat46 treck. The idea of a fully supported hike with only a small day pack to carry appealed. Their support vehicle carried the rest of our gear along with plenty of snacks and water tops ups as well as meals, meeting up at scheduled rest stops. The Six Foot Track trek was a great challenge. It was great to get out of my comfort zone and do something that pushed me physically. Being up in the Blue Mountains for two days, and meandering among some amazing scenery, all while getting “gains”, and being out with some friends and fellow explorers made for a brilliant experience. The two-day trek is one that pushes the boundaries, making you work hard to beat it. With rough terrain, hills and valleys, all part of the journey, the Six Foot Track is a challenge worth tackling. For many people, life is just one of those things you manage on a day to day basis never appreciating what wonders lay out there for discovery, and only when confronted with a life-changing event do we begin seeing things differently. Approximately 3 years ago I was confronted with my own life-changing event and as a result, I made a decision to approach life differently and to not only challenge myself physically but to also give something back and help change and improve the lives of others. I had a great time doing the Six Foot Track trek with Peak Potential Adventures and is the perfect trek to train for something bigger or simply to unplug for the weekend. The Six Foot Track trek run by Peak Potential Adventures is an overnight weekend trek that goes from Jenolan Caves to Katoomba in The Blue Mountains and covers a total distance of around 45km over the two days. The 2013 Mt Kilimanjaro adventure began 18 months ago when I caught up with an old friend, Russ Holland. He wet my appetite by inviting me to a BBQ and opportunity to meet with two guys who were climbing the 7 summits, Darren Wise and Shane Pophfer. I was immediately hooked on the idea of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and also loved the opportunity to raise money for “Make-A-Wish”. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro had been a dream of mine since the first time I stepped foot on Africa soil 7 years ago. Darren Wise & Shane Pophfer have extensive expedition experience as well as their military backgrounds, so I knew I was in safe hands doing the climb with them.
